For over fifty years, Sensient Imaging Technologies formerly known as Formulabs, has been a leading developer and formulator of a variety of technically complex specialty inks. Ink jet printer inks became a natural challenge for us more than a decade ago so that now we have created and made over 100 different ink sets, both dye- and pigment-based, for desktop and wide format printers. Late in 2001, the Formulabs business was acquired by the Sensient Technologies Corporation. The Sensient Color Division complements Sensient's ink formulation and pigment capability with high purity dye technology. SENSIENT®
ink jet inks are sold in bulk to printer OEMs, system integrators, and
aftermarket suppliers of imaging consumables.
